Floorplan of the Phoenicia InterContinental Hotel.
Architecture by Edward Durell Stone, Joseph P. Salerno, Ferdinand Dagher, and Rodolphe Elias.
The hotel had 600 rooms and suites, a variety of shops and restaurants, and a swimming pool designed by Neal A. Prince, with a viewing bar in the lower basement, looking out to the pool. Furniture was designed by Neal Prince, and manufactured and supplied by Daou et Fils.
The original hotel was closed in 1976, and re-opened in 2000 under the new management of the Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts brand.
Architect of the second tower added around mid 1970s: Joseph Philippe Karam.
